Door seals

Post by davidsavid »

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me I have a 1970 2 door saloon I recently purchased a set of door seals from ESME and now I am having trouble closing the door I can see that my striker plate needs renewing but removing the rubber and the door shuts fine I am guessing I need a thinner rubber ? Anyone help/advise would be appreciated.

They do ,eventually ,flatten ,if you can put up with having to slam the door a bit,its a common problem.

If you're storing the car over winter you'll probably find come spring they'll have flattened fine.
