heater motor
I'm overhauling a heater, the electric motor turns by hand but is stiff, it works when connected to 12 volts but when the power is turned off it stops abruptly. Obviously not right, I wonder if this is curable, and if so any pointers as to the cause and rectification, would be most welcome, thanks.
Re: heater motor
Which type of heater is it? The later ones easy to obtain motors - the mini heater is a good source.
Re: heater motor
It's from a ford mexico, I may have sorted things now though. I had 2 to play with, 1 with a worn bearing and this stiff one. Managed to mate the back of one motor with the front of the other. So far so good. Thanks for replies.
Re: heater motor
Bet that gives a fast warm up.
Re: heater motor
Yes I hear Ford heaters are pretty efficient, don't think it would fit a minor though!
