Any link to where I can read up on flushing the system? Simple to do? Traveller has def recently been done. As for my other one.... I have no idea!

There's usually either a drain tap or a drain plug on the bottom of the radiator, on the nearside (passenger side on a RHD car). However, sometimes an easier/quicker way is to remove the bottom hose and let the rad empty into a suitable pan (unless you don't mind mucky water staining your driveway).

If the water that comes out is very gungy, you can use a garden hose to flush the system through until clean water flows out - remove the radiator top hose to do that, ensuring that the heater tap/valve is open.

Depends on the age of the LDV. The best were fitted with the old Transit "banana" engine. Anyhow back to trying to work out what mechanics to update my Project with.
The voices in my head may not be real.... But they have some damn good ideas.

Yeah just the banana lump was a bit more fuel thirsty but yeah I do think that was the better lump of the two :) wouldn't mind getting the old daf 400 though lwb and put a v8 of sort in there ;)

My van has had to stay outside for at least eight years without being covered and no rust.

I must admit :lol: that's slightly refreshing :lol: it's kinda rust and paintwork is my worry and well paint work is fairly past it but trying to preserve it for aslong as possible and rust wise it has it but trying not to get more :lol:

About a month ago I wire brushed the floor and painted and there was no holes.

outside for over 40 years and still no holes underneath and all original floors etc no welding done there, in fact only had the outer crossmember ends replaced
