Which Glovebox do I need D:

Post by MoggyBlue »

So ESM does two glove boxes simple question is what one do I need for a 1968 2 door saloon in smoke grey or does it not matter I have a feeling the passengers side ( which I'm keeping) is a flock one but on ESM it says commercial but I'm woundering if it should have that one on it......

Have a look at the relevant drawing on the Moss Europe website - it shows all the different parts. :D

Ahhhh right thanks guys :) still debating what the passenger side is though. I will try take a picture tomorrow and hope you could answer that question and yea David just the drivers side seems as if water has been dripping on the top of the box for a while and has shrivelled and messed up the shape of it :-? Been driving me mad since I've had her

Its probably dripping in from the wiper or windscreen washer, so best order a new seal for it and replace before you get another box ruined especailly since they are only 35p each!

Don't worry  already got and replaced my washer jets as they were buggered just got the wiper bezal gaskets to fit but everytime I try undo the big nut after removing the washer arm it doesn't budge and it starts twisting the wiper frame under the dash :( I've tried WD40 but it just isn't working so kinda not sure what else to try :S

Early passenger side, later one is deeper. Or is it just the driver's side 1098 which is deeper? I do not have any reference to check.

Just the driver's side box on the updated 1098 is deeper, the screws go through the card into the clips on the metal surround so that the box projects through the opening and the edge is covered by the driver's side metal trim panel. It would be a lot easier to explain with a photo.
