Just bought by my good self.
Now what do you reckon the best colour for the wheels would be? I think they are the first job for me to have a go at. Also any suggestions as to where to buy the paint.
Then for the 56 Morris - where do I find the name of the black colour.
Finally at the bottom of the doors there is a bit of bubbling to the existing paint. Something I could have a go at sanding back, filling and painting? I'd love to have a go.

Re: Black 56 Morris split screen
Wheels should be black - same as body colour.
It may be difficult to find an exact match for the black paint - you may have to take a sample (maybe the boot lid) to a paint supplier for it to be computer analysed and matched. They can then supply liquid paint or aerosol cans to order.
I am currently refurbishing a set of rims for my 1953 split screen and am just using Halfords gloss black which is close enough to the body colour.

May try the Halfords gloss black... Can't look any shoddier than they do now ;o) I think I want one I can paint with a brush as opposed to aerosol.

You will find that most paint factors will supply brushing enamel if you prefer that method to spraying.
It's a bit pricier though!

Re: Black 56 Morris split screen
Any advice where to look? Fairly new to all this I just want to touch up everything initially as a starter. Spraying may be something I do down the line. Definitely know I need some. (Well my wife would say WANT some
)

Re: Black 56 Morris split screen
Search for brushing enamel on Ebay - I think you will find plenty to choose from.
Alternatively Halfords sell small touch up kits for around £7

Just read that you can't spray pain over in future if you use some brush enamel paint. Is that right?
Re: Black 56 Morris split screen
Yes - just want some paint to touch up quite a few problem areas too.
