Suspension Feeler gauge clearances

Post by stag36587 »

Hi

Even with my workshop manual I am struggling to find clearance sizes for the castle nut to front suspension dampers and also for both sides of the top trunnions? Can anyone confirm them for me please?

Thanks very much

depends on what type of top trunnion you have i beleive
if using the plain type pivot bolts then .002in or .05mm
and also if using plain type bottom trunnions then again .002 in
i just do them up :D :D

Unless you have the old type top trunnions there is no need to consider clearances you just bolt it up together.
See attached for details of setting clearances of threaded top trunnions[frame]Image[/frame]
