Dif replace

Post by Klaus44 »

I replaced a new dif and now the marking from the Propelleshaft / flange and propeller drive shaft / pinion drive flange must be aligned new?? How can I figure out the right positions.
When I drove the car, once it sounded that a tooth was "jumping". Any adive?? Thank you

Welcome to the forum.... Did you fit a NEW 'final drive' - or a secondhand one? I assume you didn't dismantle the final drive to fit a new 'diff' ?? The prop shaft only goes on two ways - you can try turning it 180 degrees - but I don't see that being your problem - are the 4 bolts all pulled up tight? More likely there is something wrong with the final drive unit you have fitted... Take it out for careful inspection.
