Synchro cones

Today's silly question:

Are replacement synchro cones available for Minor gearboxes, or do you have to source new gear/cone assemblies?

Certainly for the later 1098 ribbed box. They are however rarely 'the problem' - the real wear is on the dog teeth - especially on 2nd gear - compare to 3rd gear (usually less wear) - and to 4th gear which will be least worn of all. As will be the syncro rings - in the same wear order.

the 803 and 948 boxes have the cones made on to the gears , they appear to be crimped on ,so i have no idea how you could fit them if they are available
