oil stabilizer

Probably going to get a good slating from some members for this one ? but as anyone used Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer ? if so would you recommend it ? have slight gearbox problem and at a show yesterday was told by two classic car owners they used it ! just wondered

:roll: Banana skins are said to work well - probably similar ? Or just good old sawdust.... :lol:

I thought stabilizers were for kiddies bikes.
Seriously most cars use gear oil in their gearboxes, A series gearboxes use engine oil so adding snake oil would probably @@''%%% your box
