I'm getting an increasing squeaky sound from the front near side suspension on my convertible.
I've topped up the oil in the dampers with SAE 30 (couldn't find SAE 40).
I'm wondering if the rubber bushes at the top, where the lever arm goes through the swivel pin are worn through but I'm not sure as it is difficult to locate the squeak when I push the car up and down on the wing.
Can someone let me know what the likely culprit is/are?
Thanks
Tom

Re: Squeaky suspension
Have you greased the trunnions in recent memory? And if so - did the grease go 'in' or just squeeze out at the side of the nipple?? Ominous possibility is that the chassis leg is cracked where the eyebolt passes through...check carefully.

Re: Squeaky suspension
Just had a poke around underneath
Chassis leg looks fine can't feel any cracks
It's definitely coming from the eye bolt
I'll order some poly bushes for top and bottom

Re: Squeaky suspension
Give it a light spray with soapy water 0 does the squeak go away? Cracked leg would be more of a creak than a squeak... Check the damper holding bolts are all tight.
