fuel pump

Post by boydogs »

Has anyone fit a manual fuel pump to the side of the engine running off the camshaft ? I have just fit an electric pump and find it very noisey. If manual pumps can be fitted how do i know the type to go for as they look different.

I presume you mean a mechanical pump.....? Yes - standard on all Minis after late 19 70s..so plenty about. Ideal in many ways because it is low mounted, so no 'attack of the vapours' to worry about.

I fitted one to my 948, best thing I ever did. Don't forget the spacer plate!
