Hesitation on over run?
I'm guessing its carb related? but my 1000 runs fine except on over run and now poor idle. Any suggestions please.

Re: Hesitation on over run?
Welcome to the forum! And - I agree with Alex - how can it be poor on 'over run'...more detail please..... For 'idle' - check if the air cleaner is soaked with oil/muck - are the breather tubes from the rocker cover clear and clean ? Is there a little oil in the carb damper chamber? And - is the vacuum advance working correctly on the dizzy - suck it and see if the base plate moves......

Hi, thanks, Only on over run it feels like hesitating, jerking. Ok at constant speed or acceleration. Must be the carb??? sticky needle??

air filter is new, vacuum advance is working.

Re: Hesitation on over run?
Easy check - does the carb piston rise easily with finger pressure - and fall back down with a nice 'clunk' ? And -what colour are the spark plugs after a run?
