Hi all
If you fit the larger fuel tank how can you adapt the boot shelf to fit the spare wheel, also is it worth the extra expense ?

Re: large capacity fuel tank
I have fitted a 6.5 gal fuel tank to my Series MM and still have room for a spare gasket set on top of the 155/14 spare wheel. The only problem was the pipe thread into the tank, I had to cut it and join the two sections with a rubber fuel line

Can't remember if it was a different thread or I could not get the old pipe out. It was over 30 years ago.

Re: large capacity fuel tank
Ah yes know the feeling, series mm tank sprung a leak, tank refurbed 5 years ago soldered up rust holes, started leaking the other day so borrowed the tank out of the traveller as I want to use this weekend and new tank would not arrive till next week ( living in Ireland) , When trying to release the pipe on trav tank not moving, cleaned around, spotted the union was soldered into tank cut pipe and will use temporary connection to pipe on series mm till new tank arrives .
