Radial Tyres

Post by Huffy »

Hi, I need a new set of tyres for my 1964 Minor 2 door saloon and am proposing to switch to radials. The only problem is my usual tyre dealer can only offer a Budget tyre. It's a Nantang CX668 155TR14 (155R14). Has anyone experience of these tyres please or if you can recommend a good alternative can you give me info as to how to obtain them. Many thanks.

Thanks everyone. I will order tomorrow. Tyre dealer can then fit before the weekernd - I want good tyres to see me safely to the National Rally on Saturday. Looking forward to that.

Hi,
These are cheaper than the Toyo's I normally buy from Bull Motif. Result! :D
I know where my next tyres may be coming from..............
Best wishes,
Mike.

They are also a better tyre than the Toyo (I've run both)

I have nankangs on my 4 door. Brilliant tyre with no problems. Even if you don't do many miles a year (like me) , they won't even crack with age.

Having read the positive feedback about Nankang 155R14 tyres on this thread I decided to purchase a set from Camskill. They arrived the next day and are now on my Minor - what a transformation! The steering is light and responsive and it's like driving a new car. Admittedly they did replace a set of worn to near the legal limit tyres of four different brands, but I'm pleased with my purchase and would happily recommend them as well. :D
