Post by Sandun »

what is the Deference of Smiths Volt meter and Battery condition indicator - I set a smiths Battery condition indicator to my car , ( - )wire of meter to car body, (+) wire of meter set to the fuse box bottom nut " named A4 " - I cant understand how it work - when i start car the meter slowly come to the 12v green - i see in five time it go back to " 0 " while starting car - then i off car and start back then it come again to 12 v green , when i speed the car it show 12.5v - but when i multimeter set on battery terminal , i see multimeter work 13.5 or 13.8 when i increase speed of engine -Can I use the smith Battery conditioner voltage readings to adjust the control box charging limit to 13.8v to 14 V - pic of the meter[frame]Image[/frame]

If the multi meter is showing 13.5 to 13.8 volts then everything is fine. Does it hold these volts when you switch on the headlights?

Connect your multimeter across the terminals of the Battery condition indicator and see what you get.
