Guys, many thanks for the info and pics. I've had another play tonight. I unbolted the outside o/s gearbox mount nut and used a g-clamp to force the mount down until the stud had no slot left to move in. I bolted that tight and did the same to the n/s. That had the effect of reducing the misalignment to around 1/8". I can't get any further downwards movement unless i can find thinner mounts. I think i can get another 1/16" out of the pedal shaft adjustment. I will also get another set of link straps.
