Traveller Lower Hinge Bolt Heads
I found the upper hinge bolt heads in the vertical window runners but wondering where the bolt heads are located for the lower hinges? Probablly "not seeing the wood for the trees" issue!

Re: Traveller Lower Hinge Bolt Heads
Inside the boot, under the wooden floor in the spare wheel compartment. They pass through the metal that supports the bar that in turn supports the rear edge of the wooden floor. Just take a line straight through the pillar and you should find them.

Re: Traveller Lower Hinge Bolt Heads
Hi Redduster,
As Simmitc says, but as I found when I replaced my door posts a couple of years back, the bolt heads were recessed into the timber behind the metalwork. Once I'd got the rest back together, I drilled through the whole lot and fitted longer bolts. I know some will hold their heads in their hands about my actions, but hey, I find it far more practical.
Good luck.
Phil.

Chaps, thanks for the help. bolts are in position but all 4 are coachbolts, should they be?
As not a concourse entrant, does it matter as ESM web site has normal bolts, if thats the right term, but does this matter?

Re: Traveller Lower Hinge Bolt Heads
Either will do - normal bolts will have the hex head protruding slightly, but they are easy to grip with a spanner. Coach bolts are lower profile, but rely on the square under the dome to grip the wood or metal.

Hi
The parts list shows normal bolts with the nuts and lock washers fitted on the outside for fixings in to the corner post and slotted dome head screws into the doors with the nuts on the inside.
My traveller had pronged T head bolts into the corner posts and coach bolts into the doors both with nuts and washers on the outside...
I suspect that various types were used during production....
Taupe
