"Silver" wheel paint

Post by MorrisMinor-65-1000 »

Does anybody have a paint code or very close common shade of paint to match the "silver" wheels of post-66 cars?
Am looking to match it quite closely. Looks more grey to me. Any suggestions gladly received. Thanks
Cheers,
Michael

I've been using Branth Korrux 3-in-1 paint for wheels. It is a tough industrial paint, non toxic and sprayable as well as brushable and does not need a primer and contains very effective rust inhibitors. Their silver looks just the right shade for wheels. In fact I'm about to do a wheel due to a puncture and will post some pics in the next few days.

It is a satin finish, but if you want glossier, they also do a very very tough epoxy lacquer,

The Brantho Korrux UK distributor is in the unit next to my workshop, here is their website http://www.ipcsltd.co.uk/ ask for Mike.
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

chickenjohn,

I'm just about to paint some wheels, so interested in this paint.

Couple of questions: Which silver from the colour chart are you referring to please, 'silver grey' or 'glister silver'? Also, any idea on prices please (IPCS's website doesn't give much info)?
