The bush of course only sees any action when the clutch pedal is held down - another reason (besides the obvious wearing out of the carbon thrust) to NEVER sit with foot on clutch pedal!

has the clutch been slipping prior to not going in gear i had a slipping clutch that then wouldnt release and the pressure plate had snapped in three , still had pedal pressure but wouldnt release, if the pedal has gone light but all visible parts of the linkage are ok the thrust bearing may have disintegrated . whereabouts are you someone local may be able to look and help

Yes - these are all good possibilities - but usually accompanied by vibration (to say the least !) through the clutch pedal.
