Paint query pt 2

Post by les »

Any recommendations for cellulose paint suppliers? I bought 2.5 ltr a couple of years back but supplier disappeared. I think I'll need another 2.5 for the job, I'm also hoping It will be compatible so I can mix the two lots together avoiding any colour variation. I presume I will be able to?

Celly can go off a bit,I had 5 litre of white, and used half.after about three years, went back to it and the shade had changed it had a distinct rose tint, not obvious in the can but easily seen when compared on the panel. Spoke to my paint supplier and he says some paint can oxidise after a time once exposed to the air,he also said that it can pick up slight contamination from the can after time. Would be worth spraying both on a sheet and comparing the two before mixing,
