mk2 escort axle wheels limitations

HI i know ive posted about this subject before but need a quick ask off you guys running mk2 escort axles.what wheels widths have you guys got and am i deluded to think with an offset of 12 (standard ford) id fit 9j on the back 8j on front (jlh ford xr2 brake kit)

You'll need to extend /modify front and rear arches to fit wheels of that width. 8's are in reality a bit wide on the front as you'll discover in the wet

Ha ha, you reckon? I've made a cardboard wheel to my exact dimensions so I'm going to dummy it up, the tyres are 195s with a euro look stretch to them on the wall so it should help with keeping tread inboard a little, ill post up my mock up pics!

The blue one in my pics is on 8 x 13's at front hence my comment Rears are 8 1/2 x 15. Front clip is Vauxhall Chevette which is narrower than a Minor's track so they don't stick out very much (they will on a Minor) and rear is S type jag.

I'm running 14x8.5" on the back with stretched tyres and they stick out around 1.5" from the arches.
