guttering types

Post by FrankM83 »

HI all , does anyone know when the guttering profle was changed? from the square edged one to the round type, I have a 53 Van which seems to have the square edged one, but then my 50 MM seems to have a rounded type, although I do need to go to bare metal to check if it's not filler!

Maybe the car has round guttering and the van has square guttering?

My May 1950 saloon has rounded guttering, I saw a 1949 one at a show earlier this year and it had a different profile to its gutters which I hadnt noticed before. I didnt take a close up picture it to make it out though.

'48s & early '49s had guttering with a sharp edge.
