Hi Everyone,
While I was under my saloon greasing my prop shaft I noticed that if you tuen the prop shaft you can turn it about an eight of the way round before it seems to engage in the diff. Is this usual ??
I realise that a fifty year old car is going to have wear but I'm just wondering if I've too much play in the diff. The prop shaft appears to be fine and solis.
Cheers
Chris

Yes - that's pretty much normal. Not that it will help, but when was the final drive oil last changed?

Re: Prop Shaft to Diff
Hi,
I don't know about the last oil change on the dif. I bought the car last summer and don't know if the previos owner had changed it.
Thinking about it it would probably be a good idea to do so..then I know
Cheers
