1275 Ital Engine Datsun 5speed questions

Hi there,
I am new to the forum and I am not a Morris owner.
However I am a Datsun owner and I have been offered a Datsun 5 speed gearbox that was fitted to a 1275 Engine in a Morris truck.
My question is and i need to know an answer rally quickly is:

Is it possible to convert the converted Datsun gearbox back to original so that I can use it on my Datsun and what is involved?

If the gearbox has a separate bellhousing, then swapping it to a Datsun one is all you'll have to do.

Ok But what if it has a Rivergate Adapter kit?

That's probably a custom-built bellhousing, plus mounts. These kits rarely alter the actual gearbox in any way.
