Mobile Mechanic near High Wycombe?

Post by Tim M »

Hi,

Does anybody know of a mobile mechanic who could help me to make some more rapid progress with my Moggie progress. I'm kind of looking for a practical old-school type person who could offer me a day or two after Xmas?

Many thanks,

Tim

Best to give an idea of the sort of stuff involved ie bodywork mechanical or electrical, that way folk will know beforehand what's ahead of them, involved etc, whether you have tools or whatever, or what gear is required.

The car did turn over though there was a problem with the solenoid which I have now replaced. It needs someone to check the ignition switch and others are connected OK, and see if they can get the car to turn over and fire. All the parts are there and the engine has been recently re-built.

Thanks :D

There is a wiring diagram under 'electrical' although a little hard to read, it will tell you where the ignition wires should go to and other connections, you can then possibly see if your wiring matches. If you have a manual that diagram may be clearer. It could be a case of just one wire wrong. good luck. If you approach it methodically I'm sure you'll get there.

That's very kind of you, many thanks! I will no doubt be in touch in the new year as I re-start the re-connecting bits and pieces stage. Have a great Christmas.
