Does anyone have a name or paint code for the dark grey wheels on a 1968 saloon? Also, one for the sill kick plate.
Thanks for any help.

Yes, thanks for the link. I did check that site before, and it says 'dark silver
', but there is no paint code unfortunately.

I asked the Charles Ware centre. They are using 'Ford Sebring silver' for both the kick plates as well as wheels. I have also emailed ESM in East Sussex. I will post their answer when I get it.

I'd be interested to know the answer to this one. I would suggest that Ian Allen at Minor Services in Ely is likely to be a good person to ask, as he, in my view has an excellent eye for detail.

Re: 1968 'dark grey' wheel paint code
Here are some results of my 'Dark Silver' wheel colour survey from several workshops.
The original colour called 'DARK SILVER': ICI code 5235 .....I tried a couple of paint shops, they cannot mix using the code provided because the mixing systems have changed.
CHARLES WARE : Says Ford sebring silver is a close match.
ESM: VW Diamond Silver….they say its brighter than original but they prefer it.
Morris Minor Services, Ely: Ford Strato Silver
A forum member : Nissan KX4 Silver Metallic.....says this was the closest match to his original wheel colour when he took it to a paint shop.
If anyone has other suggestions or manages to get a usable code for the original 'Dark Silver' please let me know.
