Volt meter readings

Post by Morrisminormo »

Just fitted my volt meter and it's connected to the switched side of the fuse box. The readings are steady but what would you expect the average readings to be? Always on charge? If the battery is fully charged would the regulator lower the current from the dynamo?[frame]Image[/frame]

It must only be on when the Ign is on. Engine running - it obviously needs to be in the green sector...with no lights etc on - it should be right up the scale but still in the green, and with lights/heater/wipers on it should still stay within the green - but probably 'only just' if you have a dynamo. If it drops below the green - time to switch off something!

It is on the switched side of fuse box, yes it's skyways in green but whith lights and wipers on its just below the charging line. At least it's working ok :D
