surface headlining

Post by TvdWerf »

what type of material is the surface from the hardboard MM headlining, and where to buy this?
Mine has some scratches, and does not have the same color anymore.
It looks like the sun visors have the same material, the also need some new ;)

Hello Tv,
I think it was called Rexine and was an early version of woven vinyl. The same covering was used on old Picnic (suit)cases like those made by Brexton. As to where you can get it now, I can only suggest a store that does "oil cloth" table covers etc. but most of these tend to be very shiney.
George.

P.S. Ive just been doing some Googling and found this
