I fit my belt over the water pump and dynamo pulleys then push it over the crankshaft pulley whilst turning the engine over on the starting handle. I then put the handle between the dynamo and block to lever the dynamo out whilst I tighten the mounting bolts. I have also re tapped the threads on the water jacket to 3/8 unc and enlarged the dynamo holes so that the larger bolts are less likely to strip the threads.
See you at Gaydon and we can have a chat.

Re: Replacing Series MM Side Valve fan belt
A few weeks before, I never heard from the Bearing boys, but because we are working now on a new machine in South Africa, we need them also for some modifications.
I know from the "B" version from the belts, there is one in the machine where my laptop is connected on ;)
I prefer the B33, with more adjustment space, and a little bit more work to mount than a B34.
Maybe I buy one when I am this afternoon in Johannesburg in the shop, I can use him when I am at home ;)

Re: Replacing Series MM Side Valve fan belt
The dynamo pulley on George's car is the two piece non water pump fan blade type. The original water pump kit would have had a different dynamo pulley.
When I bought my car it had a water pump, fan blades still on the dynamo, no brass pipe and the water pump outlet plumbed in to the long bottom hose with a copper T piece.
