1954 Minor will not turn off

My 1954 morris minor will not turn off even when the key is in the off position, the only way to turn the car off is to disconnect the battery but it still starts and runs fine, any suggestions on what to do or what the cause may be would be much appreciated

Have you done anything on the car lately?
Have a look at the fuse box and make sure nothing is connecting both fuses together.

I replaced one of the dashboard lights and the problem revealed itself after this

Undo whatever you did in there!! Obviously something is shorting across the Ign switch........
