I have recently acquired a lovely black 4 door 1968 morris minor. This is my first car but it turns out this exact car was my dads first car. I have such fond memories of this morris from my early childhood, the noise it makes, the unmistakable smell inside. it all made such an impression on me as a kid and i just had to own a morris minor. However i never thought i`d ever end up with the old family morris, its amazing that 20+ years later its back in the family. It really is a great little machine and every bit as good as i remember it. Sure its not in show car condition (albiet it does look nice and shiny) but mechanically it is bang on, it is as responsive as any modern car ive driven. It has been in daily use its whole life and has covered around 20,000 miles every year for the last 40 years, its a true work horse of a car! Because it has always been the owners main and only car it has been incredibly well looked after and never had a chance to sit around to go rusty and seize up. I want to keep this car working hard and continue to look after it as well as its previous owner and my dad did. It will undoubtedly provide me with many years of motoring joy!
I may be requiring some help from you Morris lovers from time to time as im not particularly experienced with the mechanical side of things, i have a box full of service manuals which explain things very well but im sure im going to need some help identifying parts etc.
Well thats my car, any hints or tips for a new driver/moggy owner will be greatly appreciated!

P.s As far as I'm aware this car has never been garaged in its whole life, just goes to show that with the right care and enough waxoyl these Morris Minors can survive anything the British climate can throw at them!
