Mm headlamps

Post by 1843lamp »

I have been trying to determine what the original headlamp looks like for my US export 52 car.I know that my 63 midget came with lucas sealed beams but the Morris is much earlier,I have a set of Original mg td Lucas 700 bulb units but they only have one register on the back of the reflector instead of three, the buckets in my car appear to be the correct ones but they have three notches for the reflector .Forgot to mention that my car has highlight front fenders. Can anyone shed more light ?...sorry for the pun ...

The high light Minor was fitted with the standard Lucas 7in headlight unit with 3 locating pins and a separate bulb presumably right dip for the USA. Later Minors were fitted with sealed beam units, that was probably after exports to the States ceased
