Could be. But I reckon that actually there is a dip because, the 30-49 lot are the bulshy 'I'm not filling in any more forms, I already have too many of the blasted things' group....More results to come in yet, but we can see a trend.
a peak on 25-29 and a peak on 50-59.
The 25-29 are probably internet users that have Morris Minors and the 50-59 are the Morris Minor owners that have internet!

They certainly have if they've filled in the other 3 as well! Couldn't one of the grown ups delete them? I don't think they're serving any useful purpose.

Well, being as I wrote it, it's definately quack philisophy.......woo wrote:Hmm, Is this deep thinking or quack philosophy, I can't decide![]()
Well...... my age group (30-39) is young enough to have enthusiasm and actually DO things on the cars, but old enough to like them for what they are and not because they are 'alternative' or 'retro'. Two words that I REALLY don't like!!But, perhaps the next thread could be to see who can put the best 'spin' on why they think that their age group should be the only one allowed to drive the cars...

Well, my first answer is obviouslycam wrote:Well...... my age group (30-39) is young enough to have enthusiasm and actually DO things on the cars, but old enough to like them for what they are and not because they are 'alternative' or 'retro'. Two words that I REALLY don't like!!

And then we get into the main body of my defence! I do things to my car! And I don't think I've ever described it as retro or 'alternative'.
Although I don't mind it being 'alternative' - since I kind of try not to get too involved in consumer culture, and live something which some would call an alternative lifestyle then alternative is fine by me

I tend to just describe things other people call 'Retro' as "Beautifully Engineered' (I was in raptures about my 1930's desk fan, although I need to strip it down to extract the shattered bearing and replace it) or just "God that's Gorgeous".

Well, basically Kate's ideas are not that far from my own then! As she does not seem to be employing the 'alternative' angle for the sake of it!! (as some do).
See! Relfy you stirrer!!

But there was no attack!! We were asked to explain "who can put the best 'spin' on why they think that their age group should be the only one allowed to drive the cars... "And then we get into the main body of my defence!
Just as fun! Come on then folks, this could be interesting!

I know I am dreding up an old post (pg1) but OI!!!! thats cheeky. I was interested as to who the yougest member of the board was - not the entire age spread!!!Kevin wrote:You can blame Dan for it I think he just wanted to know what the age range spread was on this notice board as most of the ones he uses are for the under adult age ranges
Also, the youngest person I know of on any of my forums is 15 and I believe shes about to turn 16. That would be a forum of which I am a moderator. so there!

Well for my self its for the fun and nostalga, having a car thats different, the positive comment from some and the negative points from others but most of all its being a Moggie enthusiast, and because I am not into custom cars and concours (well at the moment anyway) does not mean I dont appreciate the hard work and engineering excellence that goes into these cars.Just as fun! Come on then folks, this could be interesting!
I dont think that age matters as your needs, tastes and requirements change as you go along in life and we all have different views (thank goodness) so the age groups poll I think is just a bit of fun, because if were all the same it would become terribly boring which is a state I dont wish to be classified as

Cheers
