Dynamo repair

I stripped the dynamo for my traveller yesterday as it was a bit tight to rotate. one disassembly I have found that the armature is dragging on the feild windings. the dynamo was belived to be working before disassembly. I was planning to replace the contacts as a matter of course and clean eveything else up and refit.
any help appreciated.

You can try skimming the rotor - but my view is this is just not an economic repair.....
