Argh, just realised I promised to pick a friend up from the airport that day, so for the first time in many years I'll not make it.
Humbug etc...
cheers

What is it? racing, or just displaying your car?

I went over about 2 or 3 years ago and there was a great display of cars and the museum is also excellent. Unfortunately I lost all my pictures after a computer malfunction last year so Ive none to post up

The hill is steeper than it looks! Gear-changing not advised!

A minor will do it in 2nd. I think I saw one try it in 3rd a few years ago, but had to go back down to 2nd near the top!

I'd quite like to run Bluey up the hill this year, if they'll allow it. 2 years ago they only allowed pre 1950 cars up. So last year I assumed it was the same rule, and didn't bother looking into it. Then was dismayed to see Minors and other 'newer' stuff going up. I missed my chance!

Only just spotted this, I'm going to try to make it - how does it work, do Minors (& other Austin Morrises get in to a main part or must they have pre-booked?

There is generally a get-together, a small road-run round the site and the group photo of all the cars on the famous Banking.

Plenty of Youtube videos of it all.

Yup was a good day out. Took 90 minutes to get there this morning and 4 hours to get back because of some problem with the Dartford Bridge. Just got in.

I wish I'd have read this posting earlier and gone up to second gear. At the briefing they told us not to but I'll know for next time.
