Austin 8cwt Van 1971 Very Very Nearly Finished.

Post by Morris Mike »

:D
I set out to build a very presentable van,not a concourse example...i have built some other vehicles finished to concourse or show winning standard, and in my twenties and thirties proved the point to myself that I could produce an excellent product, so now I let the others take the trophies home.

Now i like to build vehicles I am not frightened to use but are very presentable.
She is now very nearly finished, engine bay detailing to carry out on some items.Final buffing and polishing to the 2 pack Lesonal Teal Blue paintwork.
Fit some protective covering to the rear floor to keep the spray painted finish in good condition.

I should get her Mot`d next week.

Then its off to some vintage commercial events with my vans this year (as well as attending car shows or events with our other vehicles), along with our 1956 Austin A30 Van,Austin A35 1961 Van or Bedfrod CF V8 1979 Van..

I have already had some flack from the purists over the wheels, but have refinished the existing one`s to show condition so these can be fitted at any time if needed.

Looks great, well done (and I like the alloys with that teal blue.)
