Finally started my open wood surgey on the car! Have got as far as removing the seatbelts and hit my 1st problem... how do i remove the 'seatbelt wood capping'... i can't see/work out how to remove it with the seat belt guide attached...how do i remove the guide?
The guide or the upper anchor point will have a plastic cover at the top, the securing bolt it underneath. A little tip, before removing the belts completly to stop the belt retracting place a cloths peg on the belt at the top of the reel, this will help in refitting. The wood capping I beleive is screwed into place.
The wood capping is held in place with 4 screws, the 2 at the top can be seen in photo below, but as indicated above, you need to remove the seatbelt top bracket before the wood can be removed. My seatbelt have a round plastic cap covering the seatbelt bolt (see below), I believe some have a plastic cover over the whole top bracket.[frame][/frame]
Thanks for the replies! I have got all 4 screws out however my seat belt bracket is completely plastic with no obvious 'cap' ... there is a screw that i can just about see on the rear of it but this is all but unreachable...
