Hi, how do I go about finding out the date my Morris was manufactured please.
As the reg date is obviously later than the date it was made.
I've read a w online articles about scams with heritage certificates, and would like to be sure and safe.

Do you want to know the exact date of manufacture or an approximate month/year?

A heritage certificate will show the exact date. I haven't heard of any 'scams' relating to the heritage certificates (unless you mean forged certificates?) but if you contact the Heritage centre directly to obtain a certificate I can't see how there would be any 'scam' involved? If you are looking for an approximate month/year of manufacture the chassis number will give an indication (send it to me via pm if you want me to look into it for you)

In stead of paying the £40 they research and find the build date for £5, which means I can then buy a full certificate later if my moggy was built before the mot threshold date, although I will get her mot'd anyway for my peace of mind.
