desperately looking for a riley or wolseley diff for my morris any help would be appreciated

If it were me, I'd rather use another axle (Ford, MGB, Toyota, Marina etc), then diff and halfshaft failures won't be a concern.

If you're trying to avoid SVA points (it's not SVA any more, but something like, that..) then you can change diff, uprated half shafts and fit uprated leaf springs, anti tramp bars and teleshocks without points as far as i know ;-)

New axle (e.g. ford) is often a lower cost / more sensible route, but rules is rules when it comes to vehicle modifications and the related beurocrats & paperwork

Changeing a rear axle to Ford etc will not incur a BIVA test - unless you cut into the underbody (monocoque) to accomodate it. It's only a bolt on mod, but there is so much misinformation out there that people get confused.
