Red under bonnet is an Austin Cambridge A60 I think.

it is a Studebaker on lend-lease to the
Soviet Union in ww2
named by the troops as a Studer

The ZIL 157 is a flat bed 6 x 6 wheel drive military truck. It was produced in the former soviet union in the ZIL works (Zavod imene Lichachov) . It is a direct descendent of the American Studebaker trucks supplied to the Red Army as part of the Lend Lease agreement[frame]Image[/frame]

Yup, it's a Studebaker US6, made almost exclusively for lend lease. It was made in the US, sent to Russia, we bought it from Australia to England and then sold it to a guy in Ukraine I think - certainly well travelled!
Sorry everyone, I'm afraid my knowledge of classics is limited :roll: still, something different :lol:

Cabs are pretty similar, but it lacks the flat fenders and the grill. Actually more in common to the GMC (save the rounded front grill - they were stopped due to steel shortages!) than the Stoody..
