DISTRIBUTOR CONNECTION
Whilst replacing the points yesterday, I noticed that the orange wire connecting the points to the incoming blue wire from the coil is very loose. To be more specific, this is the connection point between the orange wire from the points to a little block affair on the inside of the distributor. This appears to be a sealed unit so whilst I 'have the skills' to make a new connection, I cannot see how to do it! I am a bit 'scared' to just pull on the wire to see if it is a simple pull-out connection in case it isn't and it just snaps off. Any help would be very welcome.
Re: DISTRIBUTOR CONNECTION
Just buy a new one ! Don't fiddle with that one - although obviously it can be repaired.

Re: DISTRIBUTOR CONNECTION
Thanks. Do you mean buy a new distributor and if so; are they an easy fit? Never done one before...
Re: DISTRIBUTOR CONNECTION
No! Although that is an option... Just a new connector wire http://www.minispares.com/product/Class ... %20to%20se

Re: DISTRIBUTOR CONNECTION
Do you mean the orange wire from the points to the condenser?
There should be a white/black wire from the coil to distributor, the only blue wire should be from the light switch to the dip switch

Fantastic, thanks for the link showing exactly the part I need. I have ordered it, only a tenner with postage. Thanks again.
