803 crankshaft end float

Post by JOWETTJAVELIN »

What is the permissible end float for the 803 crank? I cannot find figures in any manual.

I am using brand new STD thrust washers as specified by the machine shop.

Also, the thrust washers are loose in that they can be pushed round slightly within the limits of the locating tabs. Is this acceptable?

I suggest no more than 5 thou - or any less than 3 thou.
