Problem with my bearings

Post by MacD »

The main bearings are goosed. Have been advised that replacement engine may be best option. Can you advise on most reliable supplier of replacement engine for my 1964 1098cc Traveller?

Many thanks,

If the rings/bores are ok - why not just fit an exchange reground crankshaft - and a new oil pump, and check the oil filter is correctly assembled??

Unless the bearings are on max regrind then have the crank re ground again. If not then a recon crank

Great success ! Did you check if the oil filter is correctly assembled - so it is actually filtering the oil?
