CHRISSIE....disconnect the wire from the terminal on the tank
sender unit and,with the ignition ON, touch it on to any metal
part of the body. If the gauge reads then you have proved that
all is ok from the wire to the gauge so, unless the tank itself is not
making contact with the body you would indeed seem to have a
sender unit problem. If,on the other hand the gauge does NOT
read then the fault would not appear to lay with the sender.
