Splitscreen windscreen rubber

I don't know about you, but the heavens opened up on me today while trying to enjoy a ride in my 56 and in came the rain, from under the windscreen rubber bottom left and bottom right. Not knowing if the rubber has ever been replaced I thought I better go down that route.
Is there a very good quality rubber available? If so, who does it? I've had repro rubbers before for my VW split and they can be a total waste of time . So I'm hoping someone on here has gone down this path and can recommend a good supplier.

Don't know about the rubbers but there is a very good windscreen fitter near Chobham Common, and I am next in the queue.

Just a thought but have you had a look behind the split screen cover on the inside?

Mine was leaking through each corner as well so the mastic gun was used everywhere but the centre cap...

Yesterday in very heavy rain water started coming through the screws holding the centre cap in place so it looks like that was may original leak source with the water running out to each corner, pre mastic attempts.

Today I'm having a look there to see what if anything I can find

Oh and the new quarterlight rubbers I got from ESM have leaked like a sieve since I got them so if anyone knows of a good supply for those, please let me know.

Use fishtank sealer always works the pressure of a fish tank full of water is tremendous and it comes in clear form

Took my screen centre out and it had some 'Dum Dum' between the 2 glass panes so filled with black silicone and refit the seals and covers.

Hopefully by the time the car next gets wet it will have cut down another potential area for water ingress.......

been discussed several times,do a search,as far as I know the rubbers are still about useless,unless there has been a remoulded set produced in the last year or so.Do as I explained in one of the posts,by sealing INSIDE the car under the INNER rubber lip. Did mine a few years ago and I have never had any water inside the car since ,and it has been stood outside for the last year since the garage is in alternative use.

Did that but it was still leaking and the only place left was the centre joint.

By doing this will it not retain the water behind the sealant which in time will rust the aperture? Even though I would like to stop the water coming in I wouldn't like the water to be doing damage where it's not visible. A good point though, thanks, I might try this route but when refitting the rubber I might put sealant all the way round.
