You've misread my post. To prove a point, the bypass hose should be blanked off AGAIN and see if the symptoms of the previous occasion reappear, is what my post implied. That would be general practice to prove something is true. Of course in reality you are not going to do that. Although until something like that is done Roy and Yourself will continue to disagree!

I wouldn't blank it off again either if I was Richard! I completely respect his view of what happened - but it is the only known case in the world...... I'm not going to comment on it again - I'll turn my attention back to 'coils'......

This is hard going, just trying to say that WOULD be proof final. NOT in my wildest dreams would I expect anyone to want to do it, especially as the issue has been resolved to ones satisfaction.

I fitted a Silicone Bi Pass Hose when i changed the Water Pump. Much Tougher and Last Much Longer.
