After a time doing nothing in the car, as it is completely free of rust, I'm thinking of a change of engine and gearbox, after checking this and other forums ... consider 3 options
- Ford zetec - type 9 box
- Nissan cg13 (alloy engine) - serene box
- Vaushall 1600 - omega box
I have at home a 2.0 gsi opel manta, front / rear axle and engine, but I think it is a heavy engine and old, maybe I can use the rear axle
Ford swaps I have seen several, but none of Nissan or Vauxhall.
Micra engine is a good good engine, very light, 75cv std but with very little work, exhaust and admission 85 or 90 hp with low-gasolina.Para me the best option
Vauxhall 1.6, 1.8 or 2.0 are good engines for little money, like omega boxes.
That problem you see in each of these options? I live in Spain and are very expensive option mx5.
sorry for my strange English, use the google translator
three engine choices, for my traveler

Re: three engine choices, for my traveler
As you may have already found, there is a company called JLH who do zetec conversions. They could make it easy for you to fit a zetec and type 9 box, as they would have the necessary parts you require. Other engine and gearbox choices would mean you would have to make your own mountings.
Translated/traducido:

thanks for your advice, I know jlh products, but do not think it indispensable for a swap.
Let me know if anyone has tried the other two options, vauxhall -omega or nissan micra-serena
