Been looking at different threads on rear hub seals and have a question... there is a paper seal between the half shaft and hub, AND an O ring... these two things are supposed to stop oil leaking into the brakes themselves yes? So WHY is there also ANOTHER proper oil seal further up the axle case? ie behind the bearings???
Confused? How many seals does it need?!

Re: Understanding rear hub seals...
The rear seal is there to stop oil dripping out at the back of the hub..... and to stop dirt entering the bearings.
