All these bits came off my 1955 split screen 2door saloon, and I can't remember from where, can anyone help?[frame]Its 10.25 X 2 in. [/frame]
Approx. 3 X 3[frame][/frame]
4 X 6.5[frame][/frame]
3 X 1[frame][/frame]
Thanks for your help.
I think that No. 3 goes under the boot floor. I've never been able to work out what it does, but it sticks down from the wooden floor. I've not owned one of the earlier cars, but No.2 looks as though it's the same shape as a re-inforcing plate that goes where the boot lid stay sits on the opening of the boot lip. On the later cars, it would have been welded, but perhaps it was a screw-on addition on the earlier ones? Perhaps those pointers will spur some thoughts from others. No.4 looks like a backing or reinforcing plate for something.
Number 4 looks like the plate that covers the unused hole for the LHD dip switch in the passenger floor / wheelarch area and has a rubber sheet sandwiched to keep out water (as the hole is not used on RHD cars).
No 2 Ive seen those type of brackets somewhere before and the spikey clips are to hold a big chunk of felt, so Im guessing its a window bottom bump stop bracket, but I dont recognise it as Minor?
