Greetings all,
Other than the connections for the pipe, are there any differences between the "old type" vacuum advance unit with the screw on connections versus the "newer type" unit with push-on connections? What I want to do is take a DM2 dizzy for a 948 and put a vacuum unit in it that uses the push-on type connectors, since that's what works with my carb.
Thanks!

Vacuum advance interchangeability?
1959 Morris Minor 1000 - As of yet unnamed besides "little white car."
Re: Vacuum advance interchangeability?
As long as it's for the same 'type' of dizzy (so with the little knurled knob in your case) it will be fine. Alec will be along to say the degree of advance will not be right - and he will be correct of course - there were many different specs back in the day, but now we just have to take what we can get. And anything will be better than nothing......
